Treatment

The operation

The operations are carried out by the surgeon you wished to consult and who examined you during the consultation(s) preceding the operation.

If you are under local or loco-regional anaesthetic, you can ask any questions you may have during the operation. If you wish, you can also watch the operation on a screen, filmed live during the procedure.

Monitoring vital parameters
During long-term operations, your pulse, blood pressure and oxygen content are measured continuously. The electrocardiogram is permanently displayed on a monitor for major operations. A perfusion is set up to keep a venous line open. An anaesthetist or specialized nurse monitors everything at all times, and is always ready to intervene.

Being anxious, worried or tense has an adverse effect on vital parameters. The administration of a tranquilizer (Dormicum, Seresta, Lexotanil) has a favorable relaxing effect. For those who are calm and/or wish to leave the clinic quickly after the procedure, it is preferable to take nothing. In any case, it is preferable to be accompanied home.

Self-control and confidence in yourself, your surgeon and the nursing team are better than any premedication. If, despite everything, you would like a tranquilizer, don’t hesitate to ask your surgeon or anaesthetist about it during the consultation, and they will be happy to accommodate you.
